The Department of Tourism – Region II in collaboration with the Cagayan Tourism Office headed by En.P. Jenifer Junio-Baquiran conducted a run-over Tourism Circuit in Northwestern Cagayan, dubbed as “Across Sunsets”.
The Readiness Assessment underwent last April 26-28, 2023. The circuit includes the municipalities of Ballesteros, Abulug, Pamplona, Sanchez Mira, Claveria, and Sta. Praxedes.
Ms. Lelia Blancaflor and Ms. Kristine Wandagan of DOT-R2 led the readiness assessment together with the Cagayan Tourism Office staff, Ms. Shayne Naree Beltran, Ms. Edzeline Bangayan, and Ms. Glenda Tubangui, Cagayan Valley Traventures led by Ms. Karen Farro, and Global Footprints Travel Services led by Ms. Janice Perdido.
The said activity was participated by Ms. Carla Pulido Ocampo, Municipal Tourism Officer of Sanchez Mira, Mr. Randolph Simon, Municipal Tourism Officer Designate of Claveria, Mr. Geo Patrick Buenavista, Municipal Tourism Officer of Santa Praxedes, and the Local Government Units of Abulug and Sanchez Mira.
This assessment aimed to validate whether the circuit, attractions, and its stakeholders are ready to welcome, accommodate, and serve the tourists.
One of the purposes of this circuit is that it provides the perfect match of relaxation and adventure, allowing you to witness endless and breathtaking sunset views in Northwestern Cagayan.
