he Cagayan Tourism Office headed by En.P. Jenifer Junio-Baquiran went for a weeklong visit to Calayan Island last April 1-9, 2023.

The Cagayan Tourism Office conducted a tourism and appreciation seminar as one of the key purposes of the said engagement on April 3, 2023, at the Municipal Hall, Poblacion, Calayan, Cagayan.

Present in the said program were Honorable Joseph M. Llopis, Mayor of Calayan, Mr. Romano Del Rosario, Department of Tourism accredited resource speaker, LGU employees, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, local guides, souvenir makers, homestay owners, and students of Calayan High School.

 

This seminar aimed to provide knowledge and understanding of what tourism can contribute to society, and how the local communities and tourism stakeholders can navigate the tourism industry.
