Wednesday, October 5, 2022

As the tourism industry picks up its momentum, the Province of Cagayan which comprises of 28 municipalities and a city, is excited to welcome once more tourists from all over the country and the world. The ease of travel with emphasis on safety and security is the main focus of the provincial government.

Governor Manuel N. Mamba underscores that, “Our dream is to open Cagayan to the world, specifically the Southeast Asia, where international markets are continuously flourishing. The Cagayan Development Agenda (CAGANDA) 2025, our blueprint for Cagayan’s progress, set forth our plans in realizing our dreams of “Looking Northward.” A few years since, we have been realizing this as we have moved northward” and built necessary infrastructures to prepare in opening up to the world. Among these preparations are our plans for an international airport and seaport. We are also geared towards improving the tourism industry because we believe that this will be among the greatest offerings we can showcase when Cagayan becomes the economic hub in the north in a couple of years’ time.”

To celebrate this year’s Tourism Month, the Provincial Government of Cagayan through the Cagayan Tourism Office proudly launched its new tourism brand last September 23, 2022 – Endless Fun, Cagayan. The brand was conceptualized during the pandemic, and was inspired by the grit and grace displayed by the Cagayanos.

“The brand is a signal that we are ready to accept tourists and that we will never stop on improving our access, facilities and services for tourism. It also signifies that we are all enjoining every Cagayano to join in in this endeavor. PGC under Governor Manuel N. Mamba’s leadership will never waiver until we accomplish the vision of having Cagayan as an agri-industrial tourism hub of the Philippines”, says Environmental Planner Jenifer Junio – Baquiran, Head of Cagayan Tourism.

A logo was also crafted for the brand which was inspired by the colors of the official seal of Cagayan which stand for justice, honor, and heroism for blue, wealth and wonders for gold, and the fertile and productive soil in the Province for green, the colors now add new meanings as we are geared towards boosting the tourism industry of Cagayan. The blue, green and yellow also represent water, nature and warmth, values that encompass “Endless Fun, Cagayan”.

Capturing the brand essence of Cagayan, the logo is shaped by the endless fun that can only be experienced in Cagayan. We go beyond what the eyes can see. Cagayan appeals to all kinds of travelers hence, the adventure never ceases: from seas to summits, falls to rivers, farms to tables, and bridges to churches. And true to Governor Mamba’s vision, our resources, both natural and our people, attract investors to do business in the Province.
