CTO-DTI RO2 Conducts Empowerment Seminar to MSMEs in Cagayan

The Cagayan Tourism Office, in coordination with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) R2 – Cagayan, conducted a seminar on empowering Cagayano Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) participated by the entrepreneurs in the province and suppliers of local products that are distributed at the One Town One Product (OTOP) Hub on December 2, 2022 at Cagayan Sports Complex, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
This forum that was directed by the Cagayan Tourism Office, through its head, En.P Jenifer-Junio Baqurian, aims the partakers to improve their productivity and elevate their competitiveness as an engine to economic growth on a fast-paced global market.
Mr. Andre M. Abique, Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) Provincial Coordinator, one of the resource speakers, discussed the importance of digital marketing as he strengthen the role of the internet as a valuable platform that connects to consumers through business advertising and other marketing strategies.
Meanwhile, Ms. Maricris L. Galinggana, Trade and Industry Development Specialist (TIDS) and Processed Fruits and Nuts Focal Person, discussed the food development program of the agency. She expounded the purpose of the Philippine Food Safety Requirements of the Food and Drugs Administration as an adherence of the business owners to ensure the product quality standard and other regulatory compliances.
This training also served as a guide for the business owners in Banchetto: Christmas Trade Fair, which started on December 5 and will operate until December 20, 2022 at the Mamba Gym, Cagayan Sports Complex, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
