The Provincial Government of Cagayan through the Cagayan Tourism Office spearheads the “Orientation-Workshop on Site Evaluation and Assessment for the Tuao Tourism Development Plan” on October 16, 2024. Hinged on Gov. Manuel Mamba’s call for unity, local stakeholders of Tuao led by Local Chief Executive William Mamba, and Vice Mayor Atty. Francisco Mamba, Jr. have come together to help boost the tourism sector of Tuao. Through the leadership of Provincial Tourism Officer, EnP. Jenifer Junio – Baquiran, the Cagayan Tourism Office has given technical assistance for the improvement of the Tuao Tourism Development Plan. Miss Honey Carmona, Planning Officer III, has started preliminary discussions with Acting Municipal Planning and Development Officer, Mr. Romar Gregorio, in August and followed through this month with Miss Cheenee Nadal, Tourism Officer of the Tuao Tourism Office. Initial site assessments and in-depth discussions have been conducted since to explore the tourism opportunities in the Municipality of Tuao. This step is critical in the tourism planning process for sustainable development.

Mr. Tomas Santos Pastor, Executive Assistant, led the initial discussions with the participants to better understand their role in the assessment of tourism sites in Tuao. The objective of the aforementioned is to determine the tourism potential in each area of Tuao. The outcome will be integrated into the Tuao Tourism Development Plan.
