#CagayanTouREADsm | Community Outreach Program at Gonzaga, Cagayan

The Provincial Government of Cagayan through the Cagayan Tourism Office headed by En.P Jenifer Junio-Baquiran supported the Cagayan Tour Guides Association led by Mr. Florante Baylon, together with the Local Government Unit of Gonzaga, the Philippine National Police, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion Region 2 (RMFB2) in the recent conduct of a Community Outreach Program at Sta. Clara, Gonzaga Cagayan, as part of the Tourism Month Celebration to foster community engagement and promote local culture.

A total of 47 Agta Families were given grocery items, rice, and clothing. This initiative not only strengthens the bonds within the community but also enhances the attractiveness of Gonzaga, Cagayan as a tourist destination. Involving locals and visitors helps to create a deeper understanding and appreciation of the area’s unique cultural and natural assets, ultimately contributing to sustainable tourism development and integrating community involvement with tourism promotion.
