The Department of Tourism – Region II in partnership with the Cagayan Tourism Office conducted a familiarization tour for the Bastion of Faith Tourism Circuit last March 27-29, 2023. The circuit includes the municipalities of Tuao, Rizal, and Piat (TRiP Circuit). Tuguegarao City served as the entry and exit point of the said circuit.
The tour was participated by the DOT-R2 Office headed by Regional Director Troy Miano, Cagayan Tourism Office headed by En.P. Jenifer Junio-Baquiran, Region 2 Travel And Tour Operators Association (R2Tatoa), Cagayan Museum and Historical Research Center, Municipal Tourism Officers (MTOs) of Tuao, Rizal, Piat, and Tuguegarao City.
Together with the above-mentioned, Provincial Local Government Units (PLGUs) of Quirino, Isabela, and Nueva Vizcaya, and Content Creators from Cagayan and Isabela (Bloggers of Tuguegarao, Isabela Bloggers Society, Philippine Information Agency – Region 2, and Litrato ni Ampong) took part in the activity.
The familiarization tour showcased the economic benefits the stakeholders can enjoy whilst offering new experiences to tourists.
The TRiP circuit consists of pilgrimage, culture, heritage, and eco-farm tourism which highlight what endless fun in Cagayan is all about.
