The Provincial Government of Cagayan, through the Cagayan Tourism Office, is currently conducting a 2-day Basic Tourism Statistics Training (BTST) at Solomon’s Hotel, Lal-lo, Cagayan, bringing together representatives from 17 Local Government Units (LGUs) and 13 accommodation establishments from the northwest and northeast municipalities of the province.

The training is meticulously crafted to enhance the skills of Municipal Tourism Officers and personnel from accommodation establishments in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of tourism statistics. By empowering these key stakeholders with robust data management skills, the activity seeks to inform and refine policy formulation, ultimately elevating the province’s standing on the national and international tourism map.

Through this initiative, Cagayan province aims to solidify its reputation as a premier tourist destination, equipped with data-driven strategies to attract and sustain tourism growth.
